I’m happy to announce our 10th Annual Summer Push Hands Camp – a full day dedicated to exploring the upright grappling skills found in Tai Chi and Internal Martial Arts.

At the core of effective movement is stability. You’ll learn how to stay grounded while disrupting your partner’s balance – all in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Push Hands drills bridge the space between striking, throws, and takedowns. They help develop your ability to manage pressure, redirect force, and maintain your base while engaging with an opponent.

These skills translate across martial arts systems. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fighter, Push Hands offers tools to refine your timing, sensitivity, and structural integrity.

"It was so much fun! i tell everyone i meet how you gave those women more than just defensive skills; you gave them therapy and the efficacy to know its O.K. to stand up for yourself. It was very healing for me, and i wanted to thank you for that for some time. I had a blast, and cant wait for the next one!" Emily S

"Thank you so much for a fabulous class.  I didn't think that a self defence class would work for me with having a disability and having to use a walker.  I soon found out that the use of my arms along with my walker can be serious weapons for self defence.  I really learned a lot and look forward to future classes." Silvia W.

"Two of my friends and I took a women's self defense class offered by Greg.  He, with the assistance of his daughter Rosie, presented a well paced introductory course with the rationale behind the techniques as well as time to practice.  Feedback, corrections, and modifications created an inclusive, empowering, and fun environment.  I look forward to taking more courses with Greg (and hopefully Rosie!)" Maria S.

We are so appreciative of the understanding and care you give to your students.  I would consider it to be the benchmark for martial arts schools.
Jamie Stephen, Peterborough ON
Given that we can’t practice together I’m finding the Zoom classes with Greg to be very worthwhile. I would encourage anyone who is reluctant to give it a try. The instruction is excellent and the audio and visual are very clear. Any small technology glitches have been easily solved. Having access to the archived classes is great too!”
