Hello Sensei,
We would like to thank you for the continued instruction you gave both our sons Eduardo and Felipe for nearly 10 years. The skills they learned in the dojo have made them stronger both mentally and physically. We were always touched to hear your words of encouragement and to see them progress by having their efforts recognized.
We wish you success with your students.

Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan
Tai Chi Chuan is the ancient Chinese martial art of movement for health, long life and defense. It is a slow meditative form of exercise developed over hundreds of years to help maintain youth and flexibility in body and mind. It incorporates different postures that are linked together in what are called sets. The postures are based on the movements of animals and nature. As the pace of life speeds up Tai Chi gives us a chance to slow down and gain an important sense of objectivity. It allows the mind to become focused, enabling you to make decisions with a clear mind and relaxed body.
As a martial art, Tai Chi Chuan, refers to Grand Ultimate Boxing. Tai Chi , during its long history, has always been considered a serious fighting art. The slow graceful tempo seen during practice, greatly speeds up during applications. The gentleness quickly falls away, replaced by sudden and tremendous force. Traditional Tai Chi Chuan has been described as cotton on the outside, steel on the inside.
Hsing Yi Chuan
Hsing Yi Chuan (Mind Form Boxing or Five Element Boxing) is considered to be one of the three main styles of internal martial art from China. Although it does not share the same slowness of motion with Tai Chi Chuan it shares the idea that power is developed from the inside and is expressed outward. Hsing Yi draws on Chi Kung principals to help increase the flow of chi in its practitioners. This supports the development of timing, rhythm, balance and speed. Outwardly Hsing Yi can seem sparse, the action takes place on the inside and in the repetition of its forms.
My Jong Law Horn Pai
The earliest written account of the My Jong system comes form the 13th Century. My Jong Law Horn Pai is a branch of the original system made famous by Yip Ye Teng who was taught by Yip Ye Chai. The original My Jong was known to have incorporated the best techniques from a thousand other systems. My Jong Law Horn Pai refers to “Lost Track Monk (or Lohan) system”. One of its main features is a sophisticated and surprising ability to change strategy on the fly and do so at very high speed. The opponent simply loses track of what is happening during an encounter.
Yi Chuan
Yi Chuan is all about the refinement of power delivery. Yi Chuan is essentially formless, containing no fixed sets of fighting movements or techniques. Instead, focus is put on developing natural movement using core internal muscle groups and increasing you fighting ability. Through a system of training methods and concepts Yi Chuan works to improve your physical strength and coordination. The Yi Chuan practice of remaining calm and relaxed under pressure teaches you how to receive, redirect and issue force.
Chi Kung
Chi Kung is the root of internal martial arts. Its slow beautiful poses help to encourage the flow of chi in its practitioners. It can help increase flexibility, strength and balance and promotes deep relaxed breathing. Chi Kung is often confused with Tai Chi but is actually its older cousin. Chi Kung is connected deeply with the practice and methods of traditional Chinese medicine. There is much documentation of the incredible health benefits of practicing Chi Kung. No mater your personal fitness level Chi Kung will help to maximize your health physical ability.
Jiu Jitsu
Jiu Jitsu is a very practical self-defense system and offers much to the martial artist in terms of easily learned responses to challenging situations. We are affiliated with the Canadian Jiu Jitsu Council under the head instructor Shihan Ron Forester. Shihan Forester was the first instructor of Jiu Jitsu in Canada and is recognized as the “Father of Canadian Jiu Jitsu”. I am proud to say that my instructor Sensei/ Sifu Robert Walther has recently been promoted to the president of the CJC. I am a 5th degree black belt with the CJC. Students who continue to study will have the option of working towards a black belt in Jiu Jitsu they must be a member of the CJC for a minimum of 4 years and be a minimum of 16 years old. Chito Ryu Karate
A Japanese martial art which translates as ’empty hand’. Karate is a devastating form of unarmed combat. Chito-Ryu karate is a traditional Okinawan karate style founded by Dr. Tsuyoshi Chitose, a medical doctor and Karate master. Characterized by blocks, punches, kicks and strikes, Chito-Ryu karate is an ergonomically correct form. It instils confidence and self-discipline while preparing the mind and body to defend against aggressive behaviour or assault.
Chito-Ryu is one of the oldest styles of karate in Canada. It was brought to Canada by Tsuruoka Sensei (10th Dan). Chito-Ryu karate offers participants excellent physical conditioning, strong mental discipline, and a proven method of self-defence.
Our Chito Ryu lineage is through Sensei Montey Guest (8th Dan) of the Kai Shin Karate Association.
